Asico Group showcased its construction products at the “Build Your Home” exhibition, held from October 26 to 28 at the Qatar National Convention Centre, with participation from a select group of companies specializing in construction, building materials, design, and smart solutions.
Asico highlighted its capabilities in manufacturing building materials and its expertise spanning more than 35 years, alongside its strong regional presence, with manufacturing operations extending from Kuwait to Qatar and Saudi Arabia. This footprint reflects the Group’s capacity to meet the needs of Gulf markets by providing reliable, high-quality construction solutions, based on an integrated business model that combines manufacturing, construction, and engineering services.
The Group’s participation in the exhibition stems from the strategic importance of the Qatari market within its regional operations. Asico maintains a significant presence in Qatar through Qatar Cellular Concrete Industries, established in 2005. Asico Qatar’s factory produces a comprehensive range of cellular concrete products for the local market, including bricks, lintels, walls, and reinforced slabs, enabling clients and developers to obtain an integrated building system from a single source.
Asico Qatar’s products are featured in a wide array of prominent residential and service projects across the country, including five stadiums for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the “Our City” project and the Argentine Village, the Al Paradise residential complex in Umm Salal, comprising 667 villas, as well as projects in the Boulevard area in Lusail, and several schools, residential towers, and restaurants.
Asico’s cellular concrete products are distinguished by their lightweight nature, high efficiency, and ability to provide thermal and acoustic insulation, in addition to their resistance to pests and mold and their design flexibility, all of which contribute to accelerating construction timelines and improving cost efficiency. Furthermore, these products offer fire resistance of up to four hours, according to certifications issued by the Qatar Civil Defense, and help reduce electricity consumption by approximately 30%, while complying with municipal requirements and Estidama standards for external walls.
Commenting on this, Razan Al-Ruwain, Director of Marketing, Public Relations, and Customer Service at Asico, said: “Through our participation in ‘Build Your Home,’ we strive to strengthen direct communication with clients, developers, contractors, and consultants, and to closely understand their needs and aspirations, so that we can continue to develop our products and solutions in line with the requirements of the Qatari market. We also look forward to expanding cooperation with our partners and exploring new opportunities that support the construction and urban development sector, in alignment with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.”
