Jazeera Airways welcomed the first cohort of graduates enrolled in the “Irtiqaa” program for managerial talent development, marking a significant milestone that embodies the company’s commitment to developing national talent and preparing the next generation of leaders in the aviation sector.
The first cohort kicked off their journey with a comprehensive orientation program, which included an interactive session with Jazeera’s leadership team. This provided participants with the opportunity for direct engagement with company executives, gaining close insight into the company’s vision, values, and strategic priorities, as well as understanding the important role they would play in shaping Jazeera’s future.
Jazeera launched “Irtiqaa” in August 2026. It is a structured managerial talent development program aimed at attracting promising young Kuwaiti graduates, nurturing their capabilities, and accelerating their professional growth. The program supports Jazeera’s ambitions for long-term growth and contributes to achieving the goals of Kuwait Vision 2035 by investing in national human capital.
Parathan Pasupathy, CEO of Jazeera, said: “We are proud to welcome the first cohort of trainees in the program into the Jazeera family. These young graduates embody the aspirations, energy, and potential of Kuwait’s next generation, and we are delighted to be part of their professional journey. As Jazeera enters a new and important phase of growth, investing in our personnel is no less important than investing in new aircraft, destinations, and infrastructure.”
He added, “‘Irtiqaa’ aims to provide opportunities for Kuwaiti youth to learn, participate, and develop their capabilities to become future leaders and help shape the aviation sector. I look forward to this first cohort growing with us and leaving its mark on Jazeera’s future.”
“Irtiqaa” spans 18 months and offers participants a comprehensive development experience. This includes gaining multi-disciplinary practical experience, hands-on tasks, mentoring, and career guidance from leaders with extensive expertise, as well as structured training programs and participation in strategic business projects. Trainees will also gain practical experience in various aspects of airline operations and management, building their technical knowledge, commercial understanding, and leadership capabilities necessary for success in the dynamic aviation sector.
On her part, Jini Sethi, Head of Human Resources at Jazeera, said: “At Jazeera, we believe that investing in our personnel today is the foundation for building a stronger future. The launch of the first cohort of ‘Irtiqaa’ is a significant step in our commitment to developing Kuwaiti talent and preparing the next generation of aviation leaders. As Jazeera continues to grow, building a strong base of national competencies will be a key factor in our long-term success.”
Sethi added, “Through ‘Irtiqaa’, we aim to inspire Kuwaiti youth to discover their potential, build confidence and capabilities that qualify them for leadership roles, and grow alongside Jazeera. This program is not just an investment in the participants’ career paths, but also an investment in Jazeera’s future and the aviation sector in Kuwait.”
The program also supports one of Jazeera Airways’ priorities by fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and career development from within the company. Through providing young talents with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with various business sectors from the outset of their careers and engage in direct communication with leadership, the “Irtiqaa” program aims to prepare future leaders who possess comprehensive expertise and are capable of keeping pace with and contributing to Jazeera’s evolving business needs.
Jazeera continues to expand its fleet, destination network, and operational capabilities. Initiatives such as “Irtiqaa” play a pivotal role in building a qualified workforce that supports this future expansion. The onboarding of the first cohort into the program marks the beginning of a long-term commitment to empowering Kuwaiti talent and providing them with promising career pathways in the aviation sector.
