Justice Minister and Advisor Nasser Al-Sumeit announced a campaign for guarantors that will launch next Ramadan with the participation of government entities, and will be larger than its predecessor.
Al-Sumeit stated that the 2026 guarantors campaign embodies the highest meanings of solidarity and compassion in Kuwaiti society, reflecting the spirit of social responsibility in supporting those facing financial difficulties and helping them overcome their circumstances, thereby contributing to stability for them and their families.
Al-Sumeit clarified during a press conference held this morning, attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice Awatef Al-Sand and Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative and Technical Affairs Nof Al-Qabandi, that the total donations recorded by the campaign reached 16,539,659 Kuwaiti dinars, with the participation of 138,328 donors, reflecting societal confidence in the campaign and its commitment to supporting its humanitarian objectives.
He added that the campaign contributed to the release of 3,807 beneficiaries, alongside 14,928 legal measures related to settling their cases, including lifting seizures on vehicles, removing travel bans, lifting seizures on bank accounts, and other related measures.
He noted that these results underscore the importance of combining official and societal efforts to alleviate financial burdens on beneficiaries and help them regain their family and social stability, emphasizing that supporting guarantors is not limited to settling debts alone, but extends to giving them a new opportunity to start anew.
Al-Sumeit appreciated the contributions of donors, benefactors, and all participating entities in the success of the campaign, praising the spirit of giving that characterizes Kuwaiti society and stressing the importance of continuing humanitarian initiatives that enhance solidarity and mutual support, translating values of compassion and cooperation into tangible results in the lives of beneficiaries.
