The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, through coordination among its various sectors and relevant concerned authorities, is working to enhance its electricity and water production capacity by implementing projects included in its strategic plans, whether those tendered through the Public Authority for Private Partnership or those the Ministry intends to execute.

The Ministry is currently exploring ways to overcome the challenges hindering the decommissioning of the South Al-Shuaiba and East Al-Doha power generation and desalination plants, due to their age, with a view to rebuilding them with greater production capacities to boost output.

Meanwhile, the Court of Accounts has approved extending the security and guard services tender for the main substations and overhead lines of the electricity transmission network sector at the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, valued at 228,100 dinars.

In a separate development, the Ministry will launch tomorrow, Sunday, in collaboration with the Public Authority for Combating Corruption (“Nizaha”), its media campaign for the “Adaa” project. The campaign aims to activate and implement the code of conduct for government employees and to entrench the principles of integrity and transparency in the work environment, and will run until the end of March next year.

This awareness campaign, directed at the Ministry’s staff, comes in line with its commitment to strengthening awareness of professional values and behavioral guidelines, thereby contributing to improving institutional performance, developing the work environment, and enhancing the quality of services provided. The campaign is based on a comprehensive awareness plan that includes media, digital, and field channels, alongside training programs and workshops, implemented in cooperation and coordination with relevant authorities, covering all Ministry sectors and its affiliated sites.

These efforts aim to instill a culture of adherence to the code of conduct for government employees among all staff and to reinforce the application of its principles in daily practices.

The Ministry has urged its employees to follow the campaign and review its awareness content by tracking the Ministry’s dedicated Instagram account.
