Oman announced the evacuation of 25 crew members from a commercial vessel that came under attack, causing a fire on board off the coast of Musandam Governorate in the far north of the country.
In a statement on the X platform today, the Oman Maritime Security Center said, “The Royal Navy of Oman, in cooperation and coordination with the Maritime Security Center, carried out the evacuation of 25 crew members from the commercial vessel RITI, which flies the flag of the Republic of Panama, after it came under attack that resulted in a fire on board. The incident occurred 106 nautical miles off the coast of Musandam Governorate, and the crew members received the necessary medical care.”
