As part of the Pink October events, the International Women’s Group, chaired by Mona Haddad Al-Khoury, participated in a breast cancer awareness initiative held at Martyr’s Park, in collaboration with Cancer Awareness Nation, under the slogan “We Walk for a Goal, We Walk for Life.”
This initiative brought participants together around a shared humanitarian objective: raising awareness about breast cancer and emphasizing the importance of prevention, regular screenings, and early detection, all of which play a fundamental role in saving lives and reducing the risks of the disease.
The initiative highlighted the importance of every step taken to encourage women to take care of their health, promote a culture of health awareness, and express solidarity with those whose lives and the lives of their families have been affected by the disease. It also reaffirmed that cooperation and mutual support are two key pillars in confronting breast cancer, and that early detection remains one of the most vital means of saving lives.
Mona Al-Khoury, Chair of the International Women’s Group in Kuwait, expressed her sincere gratitude and appreciation to the management of Martyr’s Park and the Diwan Amir (Amiri Diwan) of the State of Kuwait for their warm reception and valuable support, which contributed to the success of this initiative.
She also extended her thanks to Anwar Al-Yatama, Chair of the Supervisory, Administrative, and Follow-up Committee for Martyr’s Park – Phase 3; Najood Al-Zamanan from the Media and Marketing Team; Salem Al-Hubail from the Media Team; and Munira Al-Mutairi from the Diwan Amir, in recognition of their valuable efforts and contributions to supporting this initiative.
