Kuwait Football Association (KFA) Chairman Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef signed a sponsorship agreement today, Wednesday, with Al-Humaidi IKEA, making the company the official sponsor of referees’ uniforms for all competitions organized by the KFA until 2027.
The sponsorship covers more than 905 matches during the season across various competitions organized by the KFA for men’s and women’s teams in all age categories.
Al-Yousef emphasized that the agreement recognizes the fundamental role of referees and their contributions to the game, and reflects the importance of collaboration between the private sector and sports institutions in supporting the development of sports in Kuwait.
For his part, Marino Maganto, CEO of IKEA Kuwait, Jordan, and Morocco, expressed his pride in the partnership, affirming that sports contribute to strengthening community bonds and reinforcing values such as teamwork, discipline, respect, and accountability.
