Al-Khaitan and Police Club are competing for the final spot in the group stage of the Crown Prince Cup football tournament, as they face each other in the second preliminary round at 8:00 PM tomorrow, Thursday, at Abdullah Al-Khalifa Stadium.
Police Club, a newcomer to official competitions, advanced to play Al-Khaitan after defeating Sporty 3-1 after extra time in the first preliminary round.
The winner will complete the 12-team group stage, which will be divided into three groups. The top team from each group, along with the best runner-up, will advance to the quarter-finals. The four teams occupying the top positions in last season’s Zain League—Al-Kuwait, Al-Arabi, Al-Qadsia, and Kazma—will be among those competing in this knockout stage.
