London, AFP – Manchester United manager Michael Carrick is expected to continue in charge for the team’s away match against Chelsea next Saturday, despite the club’s winless streak extending to eight games, according to British media reports on Tuesday.
United currently sit 16th in the English Premier League, following a heavy 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Sunday. This marked their eighth consecutive match without a victory across all competitions, casting serious doubt on Carrick’s future. Carrick took charge of the Red Devils in January 2026.
However, the BBC, Sky Sports, and the Press Association reported that the former Manchester United and England midfield midfielder will continue to lead the side on their trip to Stamford Bridge.
