The Coalition for the Support of Legitimacy in Yemen announced on Monday the execution of a distinctive military operation aimed at neutralizing threat sources, in response to repeated attacks by the Houthi terrorist militia.
In a statement, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, the official spokesperson for the Coalition forces, said that, in exercise of the inherent and legitimate right to self-defense to protect the security and territorial integrity of the Kingdom and to safeguard its citizens and residents on its soil, and in response to repeated attacks by the Houthi terrorist militia attempting to target civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom and Yemen using ballistic missiles and drones, the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition carried out a distinctive military operation aimed at neutralizing threat sources.
He reaffirmed the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition’s continued implementation of deterrent operational measures against the Houthi terrorist militia, with the aim of protecting civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom from their brutal attacks, as well as protecting innocent civilians inside Yemen from the militia’s oppression and its relentless killing and persecution of Yemenis by all means and methods. He emphasized that the Coalition’s military actions comply with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.
