Real Madrid won the “Clásico” by defeating Barcelona 2-1 in the tenth round of the Spanish football league.
Mourinho halted Barcelona’s dominance in the first Clásico since his return to the capital club, led by German coach Hansi Flick, who had won six of the last seven meetings against Real Madrid.
Real Madrid reduced the gap with Barcelona to three points, handing the Catalan side their first league loss of the season and their second consecutive defeat across all competitions, following their exit to French club Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League earlier in the week.
