The 46th Educational Conference, organized by the Teachers Association under the high patronage of the Amir, recommended updating the examination system and assessment methods, shifting from technology consumption to content creation, and progressively expanding giftedness and knowledge economy schools.

The conference, held earlier this October under the theme “Innovative Visions for a Sustainable Educational Future in Kuwait,” also included recommendations to restructure teacher preparation programs at faculties of education and to approve a coherent, responsible national framework for artificial intelligence.

Other recommendations called for institutionalizing a methodological approach to leadership impact in educational administration, adopting participatory formative assessment in training, strengthening the school’s role in instilling values and preserving blessings, and expanding community partnerships.

At a press conference to announce the conference’s recommendations, Kuwait Teachers Association President Hamad Al-Houli expressed “deep pride and honor” over the high patronage extended by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. He stated that this gracious patronage carries a noble message affirming the status of education and teachers, and provides greater motivation to continue efforts in serving the educational field and advancing the nation’s educational journey.

He emphasized the importance of bringing together educational practitioners with academic leaders, experts, and specialists in a space for dialogue and exchange of views and experiences, based on the belief that educational development is a shared responsibility and that teachers must be present and key partners in shaping their future.

Al-Houli stressed that the association’s role does not end with the conclusion of the conference but extends to monitoring its outcomes and enhancing communication and cooperation with the Ministry of Education and relevant authorities, thereby enabling the effective utilization of these efforts to develop the educational system.

For his part, Dr. Faiz Al-Zafiri, the conference’s general rapporteur and former director and secretary-general of Kuwait University, stated that the most effective and impactful recommendation document issued by the conference was based on a comprehensive analytical review of all scientific papers, discussion panels, and observations from session chairs.
