Kuwait will face Iraq at 5:45 PM tomorrow Friday at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium, in their second match of Group 2 of the Gulf Cup for Under-17 national teams, being held in Qatar.
The “Blue Juniors” lost their opening match in the tournament 3-0 to Egypt, which is participating by special invitation, as is China in Group 1.
Kuwait remains without any points, as does their Iraqi opponent, who lost 2-0 to Yemen in the opening round before sitting out the previous match due to having only five teams in their group.
In the same group, Egypt and Yemen will play each other at 8:00 PM at Saud bin Abdulrahman Stadium.
Brazilian coach Cayo Zanardi is expected to have analyzed the mistakes made by the “Blue Juniors” against Egypt, in order to avoid them in tomorrow’s match and in upcoming fixtures. The team faces another challenge in the Asian Cup qualifiers (Uzbekistan 2027), scheduled to take place in Muscat from November 8 to 20 next year, where they will be in Group 7 alongside host Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Brunei.
