- The Ministry’s experiences during the coronavirus pandemic and sudden weather fluctuations revealed difficulties faced by some students.

- Student attendance and interaction during a TIMZ session earn them an additional incentive grade.

Aroa Al-Ayyar, Director of Public Relations and Educational Media at the Ministry of Education, confirmed that the activation of the TIMZ platform next Saturday will last for only one day, not every week. She described this as a proactive step to ensure preparedness and the continuity of education under various circumstances, noting that “the Ministry’s previous experiences during the coronavirus pandemic and sudden weather changes revealed difficulties encountered by some students in accessing their accounts.”

In a statement to Kuwait Television on Tuesday evening, Al-Ayyar emphasized that “the trial of activating TIMZ on Saturday aims to verify the technical readiness of students and teachers, and to prepare for any emergency situation, according to a schedule outlined for each educational stage, from the first grade up to the twelfth grade, for attending and interacting with a single session within the trial’s one-hour duration.”

She highlighted “the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring that the digital tool is available to students at all times, as distance learning is a supplementary form of education that the Ministry actively promotes to address any emergencies.” She explained that “participation by students and teachers from home provides conditions that simulate a sudden shift to distance learning, enabling the identification, monitoring, and resolution of technical obstacles through technical support teams, and confirming the activation of student accounts and teachers’ ability to organize and make their classes available to them.”

Al-Ayyar clarified that “the success of the trial depends on the cooperation of school administrations, teachers, students, and parents. The Ministry’s responsibility encompasses ensuring regular schooling and preparing for any future developments.” She noted that “choosing Saturday for the trial is intended to preserve the regular school schedule for students from Sunday to Thursday.”
