Forbes Middle East has selected Sheikha Adana Al-Nasser, Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Projects Company (KIPCO), for its 2026 Sustainability Leaders list for the fourth consecutive year, in recognition of the group’s sustained efforts to embed sustainability practices and strengthen governance across its subsidiaries.
The honor was awarded in the Investment Companies and Holding Companies category during the fourth edition of the Forbes Middle East Sustainability Leaders Summit, held in Abu Dhabi on October 19 and 20 under the theme “Resilience for a Sustainable Future,” with the patronage of UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment Dr. Amna Al Suwaidi.
The recognition reflects KIPCO’s efforts to adopt an integrated sustainability approach across its diverse investment portfolio. Through a sustainability task force comprising representatives from its companies, the group works to enhance the exchange of expertise and knowledge, harmonize practices, develop sustainability reporting mechanisms, and elevate environmental responsibility and governance standards.
These efforts were highlighted in KIPCO’s fifth annual Sustainability Report, released earlier this year under the title “Purposeful Growth: A Shared Sustainability Journey,” which underscored the collective progress made by the group’s companies toward achieving shared sustainability goals.
Commenting on the occasion, Iman Al-Awadhi, Senior Vice President of Communications and Investor Relations at the group, said, “Being selected for the Forbes Middle East Sustainability Leaders list for the fourth consecutive year reflects the progress we have achieved as a group. For us, sustainability goes beyond disclosing our commitments; it involves translating those commitments into concrete actions, strengthening governance, and embedding responsible practices across all aspects of our operations. By aligning our companies around shared priorities and objectives, we continue to build a more resilient and adaptable group, enhancing our ability to deliver long-term sustainable value for our shareholders and the communities in which we operate.”
The summit brought together a distinguished group of leaders and officials from the public and private sectors to discuss emerging challenges and opportunities in sustainability, highlighting the role of adaptable institutions in overcoming challenges and building a more sustainable future.
