Kuwait’s Minister of Oil and Chairman of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Tariq Al-Roumi, held separate meetings on Wednesday with the ambassadors of the United Kingdom, France, and Japan accredited to Kuwait, discussing the enhancement of bilateral relations and the strengthening of cooperative ties with friendly nations.
The Ministry of Oil stated in a press release that Minister Al-Roumi met with the British Ambassador, Qudsi Rashid, to discuss the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. The meeting also reviewed prospects for developing joint cooperation in areas of mutual interest, reflecting the depth of Kuwaiti-British relations and the mutual commitment to enhancing them.
The ministry noted that Al-Roumi met with the French Ambassador, Olivier Gouven, in the presence of the French Cultural Attaché, Bernhard Hieschenberger, to discuss bilateral relations between Kuwait and the French Republic and ways to enhance joint cooperation and coordination across various fields in the interest of both friendly countries.
The statement added that the meeting addressed joint cooperation in economic and energy sectors, given the longstanding relations between the two countries, and emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and exchanging views on matters of mutual interest.
