Criminal network for manufacturing and distributing local alcohol busted in a home in Al-Rahab

The Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations, announced on Tuesday the dismantling of a criminal network that exploited a residential property in the Al-Rahab area to manufacture and distribute local alcoholic beverages, as part of continuous security efforts to combat crime and apprehend its perpetrators.

In a press statement, the Ministry said the operation followed intensive investigations and field surveillance that led to identifying and raiding the house, where approximately 300 containers, each with a capacity of 25 liters, of alcoholic substances were found.

It clarified that the three-story building was entirely used for manufacturing operations, and hazardous, flammable materials posing a risk to neighboring homes were discovered.

The Ministry added that coordination was carried out with the General Fire Force to secure the site and handle the flammable materials, with the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy to disconnect the power supply in preparation for removing the illegal structures, as well as with the Kuwait Municipality to issue the necessary violations and destroy the seized items. It confirmed that appropriate legal measures were taken against the suspects and referred them to the competent authorities.

The Ministry emphasized its continued efforts to monitor locations exploited for criminal activities, apprehend those involved, and take necessary legal action against them to safeguard the security and safety of society.
