Under the patronage of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, and on behalf of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahab attended the opening ceremony of the 16th edition of the Milipol Qatar 2026 Exhibition and Conference, which specializes in internal security and safety. The event was held in the presence of Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lakhya).
The participation came in response to an invitation extended by the Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lakhya) of the sister State of Qatar to the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, to attend the exhibition and conference taking place in the Qatari capital, Doha, from October 20 to 22. The event features participation from a select group of international companies and institutions specializing in security technologies.
Major General Al-Wahab toured the exhibition pavilions, accompanied by State Minister for Interior Affairs Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al Thani, and with the accompaniment of Qatar’s Deputy Minister of Interior, Abdullah bin Khalaf bin Hatab Al-Kaabi, to review the latest systems and technologies showcased in the fields of internal security and safety.
Major General Al-Wahab emphasized the importance of the exhibition in gaining insight into the latest systems and security solutions, as well as exchanging international expertise and experiences, thereby contributing to the development of security capabilities and enhancing readiness to keep pace with rapid developments and challenges.
He noted that this participation aligns with efforts to strengthen security cooperation between the State of Kuwait and the sister State of Qatar, consolidate the existing partnership between the two countries, and leverage recent technological advancements to support the security operations framework.
