Jeju Air received Gabriel Semelas, Airbus President for Africa and the Middle East, and his accompanying delegation in a meeting with Jeju Air’s Chief Executive Officer, Parathan Pasupathy, and several members of the company’s executive management.
The visit celebrated the strong partnership between Jeju Air and Airbus at a pivotal stage in the company’s growth trajectory, following Jeju Air’s receipt of an Airbus A320neo aircraft from Toulouse, France. This aircraft is the first of an order for 26 new planes that will support the next phase of the company’s ambitious plans to expand its fleet and route network, and to continue its growth in serving 10 million passengers across more than 100 destinations with a fleet of 50 aircraft by 2030. This investment also reinforces the company’s commitment to building a modern, highly fuel-efficient fleet and strengthening Kuwait’s connectivity with the world.
The meeting highlighted the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kuwait and France, underscoring the important role played by the aviation, trade, and investment sectors in strengthening bilateral ties and opening new avenues for cooperation.
