Tehran – AFP, Reuters – US President Donald Trump announced his full and unconditional support for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the upcoming elections, stating that the United States would be forced to complete the mission against Iran alone if Netanyahu does not win.

In a post on his platform “Truth Social” on Sunday, he said, “Let this message serve as a testament to my full and unconditional support for Netanyahu in his bid to be re-elected as Prime Minister of Israel.”

In Washington, Vice President JD Vance, in an interview with CBS News, said, “We are seeking a final and firm commitment from the Iranians not to rebuild their nuclear program.”

He added that the world and America would see a decline in fuel prices when the conflict with Iran ends.

For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in media statements on Sunday that the proposal to open the Strait of Hormuz within seven days remains on the table, calling on Washington to accept Iran’s conditions as a prerequisite for resuming talks between the two countries.

He clarified that “the proposal allows for the reopening of the strait within six days of the US acceptance of the conditions set by Tehran, with talks to resume on the seventh day.”

During a parliamentary session held via video link, Aghili, known as the “missile man,” received 237 votes out of 277 MPs who participated in the confidence vote.

Although he does not hold a military rank, Aghili spent 42 years in the Ministry of Defense and has headed the state-owned Defense Industries Organization since 2013.

The United Nations imposed sanctions on Aghili in 2007 due to suspicions of his involvement in activities related to Iran’s nuclear program or ballistic missiles.

Aghili succeeds former Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh, who was killed on the first day of the war against Iran on February 28 last year.
