Mohamed bin Zayed and Khalid bin Salman discuss achieving lasting peace in the region

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman reviewed “the regional developments currently unfolding in the region” in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.

The official WAM News Agency reported in a statement that the two sides “exchanged views on these matters in a manner that contributes to consolidating security and stability and achieving lasting peace in the region.”

Mohamed bin Zayed and Khalid bin Salman “discussed the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance and develop joint cooperation to serve their shared interests and bring prosperity and progress to their two brotherly peoples.”

According to the statement, the Defense Minister conveyed at the outset of the meeting the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to the UAE President, while Mohamed bin Zayed tasked him with conveying his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince.

The official SPA News Agency reported that Mohamed bin Zayed and Khalid bin Salman reviewed “regional developments and the importance of consultations on the priorities of the current stage, and exchanged perspectives on recent events in the region, as well as issues and topics of mutual interest.”
