Al-Hilal aims to regain Salem and top spot

Al Hilal aim to reclaim the top spot they lost in the previous round to Al Qadsiah, who played while Al Hilal did not, when they host Al Hazem in the opening match of the tenth round of the Saudi Pro League tomorrow, Monday.

Al Qadsiah took best advantage of the postponement of Al Hilal’s match against Al Riyadh, the previous leaders, to ascend to the summit of the league, bolstered by their best-ever start in the club’s history with 22 points after nine rounds, during which only six of the nine scheduled matches were played.

Al Hilal, who have 21 points, enter the clash with Al Hazem in high spirits after securing two important victories following the international break: a 3-2 win over Al Ittihad in the league and a 2-0 victory against Qatari side Al Sadd in the AFC Champions League Elite. They also welcome back captain Salem Al-Dawsari after a long absence due to an injury he sustained while playing for the Saudi national team during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

In another match, sixth-placed Al Ahli, with 15 points, travel to face Al Fayha, who sit 14th with seven points.
