Speaking at the Police Academy’s 2026 Graduates’ Day ceremony, he stated that “the assertion that the national security of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the Gulf Arab states is interconnected is correct.”

He pointed out that “targeting the Kingdom in this manner affects Arab and Egyptian national security, and Egypt does not accept any infringement on the Kingdom’s security and borders, nor does it accept any threat to the security of the Red Sea and international maritime passages.” He emphasized that “what matters to us is the security of the Kingdom and ensuring it is not compromised, its stability, and de-escalation.”

He called on the Egyptian people to maintain full vigilance and awareness of the plots being hatched against Egypt, noting that there are parties waiting in the wings and seeking to destabilize the country. At the same time, he stressed that any attempt targeting the armed forces or the police, which he described as “the nation’s two wings,” is effectively targeting the entire Egyptian state and its assets.

He stressed that “Egypt is standing firm in the face of challenges, and the plots it faces continue. It is essential to work collectively to confront them. To those who seek to cause sabotage, I say: we will not let you go.”

He added, “I will not leave the preservation of the Egyptian state solely in the hands of institutions, but in the hands of the entire Egyptian people. Egypt is not on my shoulders alone; God will strengthen us together. I will not abandon you, but no one can handle 100 million people alone. The matter cannot be reduced to a single official bearing all responsibility, whether the army or the police. The responsibility lies with all of us. We must move forward, speak out, act, stand firm, and endure so that Egypt remains steadfast with its people.”

He stated that the scale of work and achievements accomplished in Egypt since 2014 could not have been achieved in less than 30 years, affirming that he would continue working until the last day of his term in 2030.

He pointed out that there are risks on Egypt’s southern and western borders, and that Egypt has been striving and exerting every effort to avoid conflict in Sudan. He noted that stability in Sudan, Libya, and the Gaza Strip are necessities of Arab and Egyptian national security.

He continued, “In all meetings and communications with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu since 2014, I have emphasized that the establishment of a Palestinian state will benefit everyone and will lead to lasting peace and stability in the region.”
