Mexico City – AFP: A teacher was shot dead at a school in Mexico’s Oaxaca state, days after a separate attack targeted another school in northern Mexico, where an employee was killed and three others were injured.
Mexican media reported that panic spread among students at a middle school in the town of San Blas Atempa during the incident.
Prosecutors said in a statement that they had opened an investigation to identify the perpetrators of the attack, in which the teacher was shot and later died in the hospital.
Earlier this month, two 18-year-old brothers used knives in an attack on their former school in the northern city of Torreon, resulting in the death of one employee.
