The airline noted that the flight schedule coincides with the holiday season and school breaks, allowing travelers direct access to Prague’s winter markets, historical and cultural landmarks, and stunning scenery during the winter season.
During the event, the Czech Ambassador to Kuwait, Juraj Chmela, said, “We welcome Jazeera’s launch of direct flights to Prague during the winter season, as this represents a new important milestone in strengthening relations between the Czech Republic and Kuwait.”
He added, “Winter is a special time to visit the Czech Republic. We look forward to welcoming more travelers from Kuwait to enjoy our country’s rich heritage, festive traditions, and hospitality.”
For her part, Barbora Andělová, Head of International Marketing for the Middle East and India at the Czech Tourism Board, highlighted the tourism opportunities between Kuwait and the Czech Republic offered by the direct winter flights being launched for the first time this season. She emphasized that while the Czech Republic is a distinctive destination in all seasons, winter reveals an exceptional side of the country.
She noted that Jazeera’s launch of direct winter flights presents a unique opportunity to introduce travelers from Kuwait and the region to this diversity, expressing her pleasure at cooperating with Jazeera and our partners in the tourism sector to inspire more visitors to explore the Czech Republic and discover unforgettable experiences beyond the capital, Prague.
For his part, Parathan Pasupathy, CEO of Jazeera, confirmed that Prague is one of the preferred destinations within our European network, and we are delighted to launch flights to it during the winter season for the first time.

He noted that cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic and the Czech Tourism Board is an important part of our efforts to raise awareness of the destination and encourage more travelers to discover everything it offers.
Pasupathy added, “In Kuwait, we are very pleased to see the sports and cultural events scheduled for this season, including the Gulf Bank Marathon, which we support as the official airline carrier, as well as the Super Cup, concerts, and many other events that add further vibrancy to Kuwait’s winter season.”
He noted that these events provide residents in various Gulf countries and visitors from further afield with unique reasons to enjoy Kuwait’s beautiful winter atmosphere, distinctive cuisine, and renowned hospitality. Moreover, major events contribute to generating real economic value by attracting visitors to hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, and airports, supporting local businesses, and promoting Kuwait as a destination.
He added that this winter, Jazeera Airways is also increasing the number of direct flights between Kuwait and Europe. The airline is highlighting Prague in collaboration with the Czech Tourism Board and the Czech Embassy in Kuwait, thereby opening up more travel opportunities in both directions. This effort is complemented by a partnership with Visit Kuwait and support for initiatives aimed at promoting Kuwait as a destination and encouraging more visitors to discover what it has to offer.

They were able to learn more about the hospitality and travel options offered by the destination and explore potential cooperation opportunities.
A special raffle added further excitement to the event, giving guests the chance to win a range of distinguished prizes in an atmosphere that reflected the spirit of travel and Czech hospitality.
With the launch of its first winter flights to Prague, Jazeera continues to expand travel options for its customers and strengthen its European destination network by offering direct flights at competitive prices from Kuwait to several popular international destinations. Prague flights are available for booking through Jazeera Airways’ website, jazeeraairways.com, and the Jazeera smartphone app.
On its part, the Czech Tourism Board showcased Prague’s famous architecture, historic castles, and vibrant cultural scene, as well as stunning mountain resorts, spa towns, winter sports, and distinctive culinary experiences. The presentations highlighted the Czech Republic’s appeal to families, couples, and travelers seeking unforgettable winter holidays.
Barbara Andelova, Head of International Marketing for the Middle East and India at the Czech Tourism Board, told Al-Rai that the launch of Jazeera’s direct flight between Kuwait and Prague presents an opportunity to enhance tourism exchange between the two countries. She emphasized the importance of intensifying the promotion of Kuwait in European markets and leveraging direct air connectivity to attract more visitors.
Andelova explained that the decision to target Kuwait as a tourist market is based on the historical ties between the two countries dating back to the 1950s and 1960s, when Czechoslovakia hosted Kuwaiti citizens seeking medical treatment and benefiting from spa resorts.
She added that these historical links, along with cooperation with Jazeera Airways’ management and direct relations between officials, have helped create favorable conditions to strengthen tourism partnerships. She expressed her hope that the new route will boost travel from Kuwait to the Czech Republic.
Andilova emphasized the need to attract tourists from the Czech Republic to Kuwait through promotional campaigns targeting the Czech market and neighboring countries, notably Germany and Poland. She stressed that the success of air connectivity goes beyond merely providing flights; it also requires raising travelers’ awareness of Kuwait’s tourism assets and encouraging them to visit.
