Kuwait Technical College (KTC) announced that students majoring in Business Administration – Marketing can participate in the “Influencer+” program, offered by Laba Loyak Academy. The initiative aims to develop their skills in digital content creation and media, enhance their communication and on-camera presentation abilities, and build a compelling digital presence through an educational experience that blends academic knowledge with practical application.
This initiative aligns with KTC’s commitment to enriching students’ educational experiences and bridging academic knowledge with labor market demands by providing opportunities to learn from industry experts and practitioners, directly benefiting from their professional experiences. The college fully funds the participation of several outstanding students in the program, underscoring its dedication to investing in their capabilities and providing high-quality opportunities that support their academic and professional growth.
The “Influencer+” program focuses on developing students’ skills across all stages of content creation, from ideation, storytelling, and scriptwriting to filming, directing, production, and publishing across digital platforms. It also covers public speaking, on-camera presence, body language, digital marketing, and the application of artificial intelligence in content creation.
Additionally, the program introduces the fundamentals of podcast creation and production, idea development, and media identity building, helping students transform their ideas into professional, purposeful content that combines creativity, credibility, and awareness of media responsibility.
Training sessions began with content creator and entrepreneur Rawan Al-Attiyah, founder and CEO of Octopus AI, who led the first two weeks of the program. Students were introduced to the world of digital media and the basics of content creation, emphasizing the importance of developing ideas and presenting them in a creative manner that reaches audiences and leaves a positive, meaningful impact.
The program also featured a specialized session on media responsibility and publishing ethics, delivered by Dr. Hussain Al-Abdullah, founder and principal partner at Arkan Legal Consulting. The session highlighted the importance of credibility in content creation, the responsibilities associated with publishing and sharing content on digital platforms, and the legal and ethical aspects related to media messages and their impact on individuals and society.
These sessions underscore the importance of combining creative and technical skills with professional and ethical awareness. The impact of content extends beyond its reach, encompassing the quality of its substance, its credibility, and its ability to deliver genuine value to the audience.
Commenting on the college’s participation in the program, Dr. Anwar Al-Kandari, Assistant Dean of the College of Business Administration at Kuwait Technical College, stated: “At Kuwait Technical College, we believe that education extends beyond what students acquire within the classroom to include practical experience and direct interaction with specialists and experts, providing them with a deeper understanding of their field and labor market requirements. The ‘Influencer+’ program is a practical application of this approach, offering our students the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, develop their skills through hands-on training and direct interaction, and connect their academic studies with real-world applications in media and content creation.”
She added, “We are proud of this opportunity that allows our students to participate in a program offered by the Laba Loyak Academy. We look forward to their experience adding significant value, helping to discover their potential, develop their capabilities, and strengthen their presence while reinforcing the importance of their active participation in society. We wish all our students success and hope they benefit from this experience in their academic and professional journeys.”
Farah Al-Saggar, Executive Director of the Loyak Academy for Performing Arts (Laba), stated, “We believe that youth are the nation’s true wealth, and empowering them begins by providing them with the tools and skills that enable them to express themselves and create a positive impact in their communities. From this perspective, the ‘The Influencer’ program was launched to keep pace with the rapid transformations in the digital media world, where content creation is no longer just a hobby but a profession and responsibility that demands creativity, knowledge, and awareness simultaneously.”
She added, “We are delighted to welcome students from the Kuwait Technical College in this edition of the program. This partnership embodies our conviction in the importance of integration between academic institutions and civil society organizations in preparing a conscious generation equipped with influence tools and committed to using them responsibly. At ‘The Influencer Plus,’ we strive to ensure participants undergo a comprehensive experience that combines artistic and technical skills on one hand, with credibility and media responsibility on the other, so they become content creators carrying purposeful messages that leave a real impact, rather than merely chasing view and follower counts. We look forward to seeing the fruits of this experience reflected in their future work and professional careers.”
The participation of Kuwait Technical College students in ‘The Influencer Plus’ program reflects the college’s commitment to providing practical educational opportunities that enrich their experiences and broaden their professional horizons, offering them space to learn and interact directly with specialists.
