Arabic - Saudi Investment Minister Fahd Al-Sif affirmed, during a ministerial session on Saudi Vision 2030 held as part of the World Petroleum Congress in Riyadh, that the Kingdom has continued to enhance its investment attractiveness despite global economic challenges, noting that foreign direct investment (FDI) grew by approximately 6.5 percent in the first half of 2026.

Al-Sif stated that FDI inflows continued to grow over the past year, despite the conditions and changes facing the global economy, emphasizing that the sustainability of the Kingdom’s fiscal policy has contributed to providing investors with the confidence needed to make long-term investment decisions.

He added that key sectors in Saudi Arabia saw a 160 percent increase in foreign direct investment, while the volume of investments in the Kingdom has doubled since 2015, reflecting the continued attractiveness of the Saudi economy and its ability to attract global capital, supported by economic reforms and diversification programs stemming from Vision 2030.

The minister noted that energy was the foundation and core of Saudi Arabia’s past success story, but progress is evident in granting the private sector the opportunity to play a significant role, clarifying that the energy sector accounts for 22 percent of public investment in the Kingdom.
