Saudi Security: Kuwait and Gulf Security

His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, affirmed that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is “an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council states,” stressing His Highness’s absolute solidarity with the Kingdom and his support for all measures it takes to safeguard its security and stability and to protect its citizens and residents on its territory.

The Amir sent a message of condolence to his brother, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, expressing his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy for the victims of the blatant attack that targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which resulted in casualties and injured others.

On the same level, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the blatant attack launched by the Houthi militia against King Khalid International Airport constitutes a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, and that the repetition of these organized hostile acts targeting civilian objects and vital facilities represents a serious escalation and a direct threat to the security of air navigation and the safety of civilians, necessitating the accountability and prosecution of those responsible.

The Ministry reiterated “Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its standing by its side, and its support for all measures taken to safeguard its security and stability and to protect its citizens and residents on its territory.”

It called on the international community to “fulfill its responsibilities and take a firm stance against these repeated attacks, ensuring the protection of civilian objects and civil aviation facilities, preventing their recurrence in the future, and guaranteeing that perpetrators are not left unpunished.”
