The event features a select group of local and international universities and colleges from more than 14 countries, offering students in Kuwait opportunities to learn about undergraduate and postgraduate programs, while enabling students, parents, and interested parties to engage directly with representatives of participating educational institutions and explore academic programs and admission requirements.
On this occasion, Dour Al-Boukhamsin, Assistant General Manager of the Marketing Department – Retail Banking Sector, stated: “Commercial Bank of Kuwait is committed to supporting initiatives that empower youth and enhance their educational opportunities, driven by our belief that investing in education is an investment in Kuwait’s future. Our participation as a Gold Sponsor of the exhibition reaffirms our commitment to supporting students and helping them discover the academic opportunities and options available to them, thereby contributing to building a generation equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to shape a better future.”
Al-Boukhamsin added that this sponsorship is part of the bank’s ongoing efforts in corporate social responsibility, emphasizing its support for educational initiatives that contribute to community development and youth empowerment, recognizing young people as a fundamental pillar in building Kuwait’s future. It also aligns with the bank’s efforts to promote its banking services, which are specifically designed to meet the needs of a broad segment of society.
She clarified that, in line with its responsibility to promote financial inclusion, the bank offers the “YOU” account to students and youth aged 15 to 25. This savings account comes with a special package for students who transfer their student allowances, and has been designed to be simple and digital, offering numerous rewards and digital banking services tailored to the daily needs of young people. Additionally, prepaid cards are provided as the ideal companion for students during travel, as they are multi-currency, can be loaded with more than one foreign currency, and offer ease of use, reliability, and high security standards.
On the sidelines of its participation, the Commercial Bank of Kuwait team continues to raise public awareness as part of the “Let’s Be Aware” campaign, by disseminating educational content and informing and educating its customers against fraud and the importance of protecting their banking data, such as credit card numbers and OTP codes. The bank stresses the necessity of contacting it immediately in case of card loss or theft, and reiterates that it never requests customers’ personal banking details or account information via phone calls, SMS messages, or social media applications.
