For the first time, the Kuwait Investment Companies Association is participating in the National Employment Exhibition “Wazifati 5,” held from October 15 to 17 under the patronage and presence of the Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma. The exhibition features more than 120 companies from 14 sectors and attracts over 30,000 visitors, including job seekers, graduates, and students.
The Association’s participation comes as part of a joint pavilion with four of its member companies: Kuwait Clearing Company, Kafak Investment, Al-Safwa Investment, and Al-Awla Investment.
On this occasion, Waleed Al-Saqqaf, the Executive Director of Communications and Corporate Relations at the Association, stated: “Our first participation in Wazifati sends a clear message that the Kuwaiti investment sector is present and cohesive. Given the current circumstances, it is crucial that we are on the ground to affirm the sector’s resilience, its capacity for continuity and growth, and its ability to attract national talent.”
Al-Saqqaf added, “Professional certifications and mandatory courses make a real difference in a candidate’s profile. When a graduate enters the job market with these qualifications, they are better prepared and more competitive, increasing their chances of securing a position in investment companies.”
He further noted: “We look forward to meeting young people at the Association’s pavilion and hope that this participation marks the beginning of a permanent presence at Wazifati, as well as a partnership with entities involved in employing national talent in the private sector.”
The Association’s participation in Wazifati 5 is a continuation of its ongoing efforts to support and qualify national talent, enhance communication with youth, and raise awareness about opportunities available in the investment sector. It also forms part of a series of activities and initiatives the Association will participate in during October, reflecting its commitment to expanding its community and awareness-raising presence.
Additionally, the Association is taking part in the “Bell” financial literacy campaign launched by the Kuwait Stock Exchange during the events of the Global Investor Week, which is organized annually by the committee emanating from the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). The campaign aims to enhance financial literacy and raise awareness about the importance of investor education and protection.
