Egyptian-Turkish-Pakistani Solidarity with Saudi Arabia: Houthis Bear Responsibility for Regional Security Threats

“The Quadrilateral”:

- The attacks constitute a serious escalation that cannot be justified or accepted, and must be halted immediately and unconditionally.

- Full support for all legitimate measures and steps taken by Saudi Arabia to deter sources of threat.

The Quadrilateral Group (the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the Republic of Turkey) strongly condemned the ongoing hostile attacks launched by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the heinous attacks targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which resulted in the death and injury of several civilians, as well as damage to infrastructure and civilian facilities, representing a blatant violation of international law.

The Group reaffirmed, in a joint statement released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), that these attacks constitute a blatant assault on the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, a direct threat to its security and stability and to the safety of civilians, and a serious escalation that cannot be justified or accepted under any pretext.

The Group also expressed its full solidarity with the Kingdom and its support for all legitimate measures and steps taken to counter these attacks, deter sources of threat, and prevent their recurrence, in defense of the Kingdom’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and to protect the safety of its citizens and residents, in accordance with the UN Charter and international law. The Group holds the Houthi militia fully responsible for these attacks and their repercussions, which threaten regional and international peace and security, and calls for an immediate and unconditional halt to these attacks.
