The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Defense, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Mishaal Al-Sabah, and the Egyptian Ambassador, Mohamed Aboulwafa. Al-Kharinj extended his sincerest congratulations and best wishes to the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, its leadership, government, and people, on this immortal national occasion. He stated that "October 6 will remain an immortal day in the history of Egypt and the Arab nation, recalling the heroism of the Egyptian Armed Forces and the sacrifices of the righteous martyrs who gave their lives in defense of the land, dignity, and national pride."

He added that "this occasion represents an opportunity to remember the souls of the Egyptian and Kuwaiti martyrs who contributed to defending justice and dignity, praying to Almighty God to envelop them in His vast mercy," emphasizing that "their sacrifices will remain present in the consciousness of generations and a source of pride and honor."

Al-Kharinj clarified that "Kuwait-Egypt relations are not a product of today, but rather deep-rooted fraternal ties, shared stances, and a history rich in cooperation and cohesion, remaining a model for relations that unite Arab peoples in love, loyalty, and shared destiny."

He affirmed that "military cooperation between the State of Kuwait and the Arab Republic of Egypt reflects the depth of the fraternal bonds between the two countries, translating the commitment of both sides to continue cooperation and exchange expertise in various military fields."

He prayed to God to "protect the Arab Republic of Egypt and the State of Kuwait, to perpetuate love, brotherhood, and cooperation between them, to envelop the righteous martyrs of both countries in His vast mercy, and to protect Kuwait from all harm under the leadership of His Highness the Amir of the Country, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Highness the Crown Prince." He concluded his speech by wishing Egypt and its people enduring prosperity, pride, and dignity, and for Kuwait-Egypt relations to witness further progress and flourishing.

For his part, Colonel Mohamed Abdelwahid Abdelgwad, the Egyptian Defense Attaché in Kuwait, affirmed "the depth of the fraternal and historical relations uniting Egypt and Kuwait," praising "the Kuwaiti stance supporting Egypt during the October War, and the participation of Kuwaiti fighters alongside their Egyptian brothers, in a display that embodied Arab solidarity and unity of destiny."

Abdelgwad, during a speech at the celebration, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the attendees for participating in commemorating this immortal anniversary, which embodied Egypt’s will and affirmed the resilience of its people and the capability of its armed forces to achieve their objectives and safeguard national sovereignty. He stated that "this great victory will remain throughout history a manifestation of the nation’s greatness and the people’s pride, a landmark in the history of the Egyptian military, demonstrating the Armed Forces' ability to confront challenges and difficulties. He noted that the Egyptian people remained fully confident in their armed forces' ability to achieve victory and reclaim the land."

He extended a salute of honor and appreciation to "the men of the Egyptian Armed Forces who reclaimed the homeland’s land with their determination, courage, and heroism, offering the finest examples of sacrifice and devotion. He also extended a salute of reverence to the souls of the martyrs who gave their lives so that Egypt would remain proud, strong, and secure."

He recalled the role of the decision-makers of the war and the crossing, led by the late Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, who made his decision with faith in God, then in the people and in the ability of the armed forces to achieve victory and conquer the impossible. He affirmed that “the Egyptian Armed Forces constitute an integral part of the Egyptian people, drawing their strength from them, and have proven throughout their history their capacity to confront various challenges, defend Egypt’s national security, and protect the country’s territory and borders.”

Abdel Gawad stressed that “the October victory serves as clear evidence of the importance of Arab cooperation, noting that Arab states played a prominent and fateful role in supporting Egypt during the war. This participation was not limited to the military aspect, but also included political, economic, and strategic support.”

He added that “the Egyptian Armed Forces, with their capabilities and expertise, continue to work on protecting national security and safeguarding the nation’s resources, in a world witnessing rapid changes and growing security challenges.”

He clarified that “Egypt, which fought and reclaimed its land, is the same Egypt that always strives to achieve peace,” affirming that it “has never sought wars, conflicts, or the unjust seizure of others’ property, but rather believes that cooperation among peoples is the path to achieving peace, construction, and development.”

He pointed out that “achieving security and stability is not limited to national efforts alone, but requires cooperation, understanding, and the exchange of expertise among countries, while respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states and refraining from interfering in their internal affairs.”

He expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the State of Kuwait for the “openness and transparency he observes, and its commitment to achieving common goals and completing the distinguished cooperative trajectory between the two countries.”

Brigadier General Fahd Al-Kharinje noted that “joint military exercises and training between the Kuwaiti and Egyptian armies represent one of the most prominent aspects of cooperation between the two countries, due to their role in enhancing capabilities, raising the level of coordination, and exchanging expertise between the armed forces.”

He highlighted that “the joint air exercise (Yarmouk) represents one of the most prominent models of cooperation between the Kuwait Air Force and the Egyptian Armed Forces, embodying the distinguished military relations between both sides, while also recalling the heroism and sacrifices offered by the Kuwaiti Yarmouk Brigade and the noble Kuwaiti martyrs alongside their brothers in the Egyptian Armed Forces during the glorious October War.”

Colonel Mohamed Abdel Gawad praised the position of the State of Kuwait, both government and people, in supporting the Arab Republic of Egypt, based on its firm principle of standing by the side of Arab justice, affirming that Kuwaiti fighters participated bravely alongside their Egyptian brothers during the war.

He said that “that participation witnessed the mingling of Kuwaiti blood with Egyptian blood, in a form that embodied true Arab cohesion and turned the October victory into a great historical epic that will remain present in memory.”

Abdel Gawad affirmed that “the achievements realized in recent periods to support common interests between Kuwait and Egypt reflect the importance of continuing military cooperation and exchanging expertise, which contributes to building bridges of trust and understanding, promoting a culture of peace, and confronting phenomena of violence and extremism witnessed in the region.”

He added that “challenges arising from rapid security developments in the Middle East region necessitate dealing responsibly with common issues, striving to restore regional security and stability and achieve the requirements of security in its comprehensive sense, while respecting the specificity of societies and peoples and rejecting interference in the internal affairs of states under any slogans.”
