Al Ahli Shares Banking Expertise Globally

The National Bank of Kuwait Group is participating in the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, held in Bangkok, Thailand, from October 12 to 18, 2026, attended by a select group of finance ministers, central bank governors, banking leaders, and financial decision-makers from around the world.
The delegation includes Abdullah Al-Samait, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the NBK Group; Omar Wahbi, Chief Executive Officer of NBK-UAE; Noura Al-Duwish, General Manager of the Treasury and Investment Department; and Lin Haddad, Assistant General Manager of the Executive Affairs Department at the bank.
The delegation will attend a reception organized by the Kuwait Banks Association on the sidelines of the meetings, to exchange views on key economic and financial developments and explore a foundation for cooperation that contributes to supporting and enhancing long-term sustainable growth.
In this regard, Al-Samait said: “Our participation in the Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank holds special significance, as it provides a global platform to discuss the latest economic trends and exchange expertise with a select group of leaders from the international financial and banking sectors. This aligns with our commitment to strengthening our relationships and enhancing our operational activities, as well as staying abreast of the latest regulations to develop our banking services and meet the expectations of our clients and shareholders.”
