As part of its strategy to develop the corporate banking ecosystem and support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Boubyan Bank announced a strategic partnership with Keta, the world’s leading platform for delivering daily orders and needs.

The partnership enables corporate banking clients, particularly restaurant and café owners in Kuwait who are new to the platform, to benefit from a suite of banking and digital solutions and exclusive perks, thereby supporting their daily operations, enhancing operational efficiency, and boosting growth opportunities.

This partnership aligns with Boubyan’s vision of building an integrated corporate banking system that combines banking services, digital solutions, and specialized partnerships to meet the needs of SME owners, helping them manage their banking transactions easily and around the clock.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Abdullah Al-Majhem, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Private and Personal Banking at Boubyan, Max Chew, General Manager of Keta in Kuwait, along with several senior bank executives and company representatives.

Under the partnership, eligible Boubyan corporate banking clients will enjoy a range of benefits, including the Boubyan Visa Business Credit Card, which offers unlimited cashback of up to 1.5% on purchases made with the card, alongside its exclusive perks. The package also includes POS devices and SoftPOS solutions that enable payment acceptance via point-of-sale terminals or smartphones used as POS terminals, as well as the “Tip & Tap” service, the most innovative, advanced, and secure method for digital tipping.

Additional solutions include “Split Bill,” which allows bills to be divided and each share to be settled separately and instantly via the POS terminal, and the “ePay” service for electronic payment collection, along with a digital payment gateway, providing business owners with multiple options for accepting and collecting payments.

Through Keta, the bank’s restaurant and café clients will access services that help enhance their businesses’ visibility to customers, including free professional photography of food and beverage menus and priority placement within the app.

These exclusive benefits are designed to meet the daily operational needs of restaurants and cafes in both in-person and digital channels, offering broader opportunities to strengthen their presence through integrated payment, delivery, and platform visibility services.

Commenting on the occasion, Al-Majhem said: “The SME sector plays a vital role in supporting economic activity. Therefore, at Boubyan, we are committed to developing our corporate banking services to keep pace with evolving needs, providing owners with practical solutions that help them manage their businesses efficiently and capitalize on growth opportunities.”

He added that the strategic partnership with Keta reflects the bank’s approach to building strategic relationships with specialized service providers and delivering value tailored to the nature of clients’ businesses and daily needs. He noted that restaurants and cafes are among the sectors experiencing continuous evolution in payment methods, delivery, and customer engagement, making the integration of banking and digital solutions with specialized platform services a key enabler for business owners.

He clarified: “We believe that meaningful partnerships yield impact when they are rooted in a deep understanding of customer needs and seamlessly integrate with the services we offer. In this partnership, Boubyan’s banking and digital solutions converge with Keta’s delivery and platform visibility services to provide a comprehensive toolkit that helps our restaurant and café clients manage their payments and expand their reach to customers.”

Al-Mujahim pointed out that Boubyan carefully selects its partners based on their expertise, standing, and ability to add value for its clients. He added that Kita’s presence in the food delivery market, along with the technological services it offers, enhances the opportunities for restaurant and café owners to benefit from new channels to reach customers and grow their businesses.

He affirmed that Boubyan will continue to develop its corporate banking system and collaborate with specialized entities, while reinforcing its role as a banking partner for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This will be achieved by leveraging its banking expertise and providing financing solutions and digital payment services, thereby enhancing the integration of the system offered to this sector and keeping pace with its evolving needs.

For his part, Max Chew, General Manager of Kita Kuwait, said: “This partnership represents an important step in Kita’s journey in Kuwait. It is the first of its kind in the market between a bank and a delivery platform, combining Boubyan’s banking expertise with Kita’s delivery and technological capabilities to serve a sector that forms a cornerstone of the local economy.”

He added: “We recognize that restaurant and café owners need more than just a platform to showcase their products; they need a partner who understands the challenges of cash flow and customer acquisition. Therefore, we have designed a comprehensive package for Boubyan’s clients, including weekly settlement in their bank accounts, expanded delivery coverage, priority driver allocation during peak hours, as well as free professional menu photography and prominent app visibility during the launch week.”

He emphasized that Kita continues to invest in the Kuwaiti market and build strategic partnerships with leading institutions, noting that the collaboration with Boubyan reflects the banking sector’s confidence in the platform and opens the door to further joint initiatives to support the growth of SMEs in Kuwait.
