NBK Partners with Scientific Center for 'STEAM Bus' Initiative

Tam Digital Bank announced its partnership with the Scientific Center, one of the centers under the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, to launch the new season of the “STEAM Bus” program for the 2026–2027 academic year. This initiative is part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to support education and enhance students’ scientific and interactive experiences, thereby contributing to the development of their scientific and creative skills and fostering a culture of innovation and exploration among the younger generation.
The launch of the new season builds on the program’s previous success in delivering a mobile educational experience that combines knowledge with practical application. The “STEAM Bus” continues its tours of schools, offering a diverse range of activities and experiments covering the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
The program aims to present scientific concepts in simplified and interactive ways, enabling students to learn through experimentation and exploration. It helps develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, while stimulating scientific curiosity and encouraging interest in science, technology, and innovation.
Commenting on the occasion, Ahmed Al-Othman, CEO of Tam, said: “We are proud of our collaboration with the Scientific Center to support the program, which allows students to engage in interactive educational experiences that develop their skills, broaden their horizons, and inspire them to discover their passion for various scientific fields.”
Al-Othman added: “This partnership embodies the bank’s commitment to supporting national initiatives aimed at investing in youth potential and preparing a generation equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to keep pace with the future. Through this collaboration, we seek to expand the program’s reach to more students, thereby enhancing the culture of creativity and innovation and providing them with an inspiring educational environment that supports their capabilities and aspirations.”
For his part, Engineer Musaed Al-Yasin, Director General of the Scientific Center, stated: “The new season of the STEAM Bus extends the Scientific Center’s mission to disseminate knowledge and promote scientific culture among school students by delivering interactive educational experiences that make science more accessible and enjoyable. We are proud of our partnership with the bank in supporting this program, which helps expand its impact and reach a wider segment of students, encouraging them to learn, explore, and innovate.”
The cooperation between the bank and the Scientific Center highlights the importance of integrating efforts between the banking sector and scientific institutions to support innovative educational initiatives and provide quality learning opportunities that contribute to developing students’ skills and enhancing their capabilities. This, in turn, helps prepare a generation better equipped to meet the demands of the future and the rapidly advancing scientific and technological fields.
