Trump Appoints Katie Zaccaria as New White House Spokesperson

Donald Trump on Friday appointed Katie Zagaraja, a commentator closely aligned with the “MAGA” movement, as the new White House spokesperson, praising her loyalty.

The Republican president, announcing the appointment on his platform “Truth Social,” said, “Her support has always been exemplary, and she has been a loyal and outstanding ally from the very beginning. She is also a supporter of the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement and a dedicated member of it.”

Zagaraja previously served as spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security for a few weeks, from February to April 2026.

After her appointment, she wrote on “X,” “Serving President Trump and the American people in this pivotal year, which marks the 250th anniversary of independence, is the honor of a lifetime.”

She added, “Our mission now is to continue delivering strong results for our country and to keep Americans informed about the major victories this administration achieves day after day.”

Zagaraja succeeds Caroline Levitt at the White House, another figure close to the U.S. president, who left her post in August to focus on caring for her two children.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Katie Zagaraja works for Trump Media & Technology Group, the media company affiliated with the U.S. president, as well as on his social media platform, Truth Social.

She holds a law degree and lived in China between 2011 and 2013, where she worked for a law firm.

In her new role, which places her in the spotlight as “White House Spokesperson,” she will be responsible for holding press conferences in the White House’s famous briefing room and managing the strained relationship between the Trump administration and the press.
