The first Junior Boxing Championship for the 2026-2027 season kicks off on Saturday, organized by the Boxing Federation at its hall in the Sabah Al-Salem area, and will run until October 14, with participation from several clubs.
The championship is part of the local competitions program for the current season, following the holding of the first Children’s Championship last September, making the Junior Championship the second tournament of the season, in line with the Federation’s plan to activate local competitions and expand the base of participants in the sport.
Before the launch of the championship, Ahmed Al-Zubain, Secretary-General of the Boxing Federation, emphasized that the Federation’s board of directors is committed to advancing and developing the sport by regularly organizing local competitions with broad participation from member clubs, thereby contributing to raising the technical level of players and discovering promising talents.
