950 Citizens Participated in Religious Jobs Exams in Mosques
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs concluded the written examinations for Kuwaiti nationals applying for religious positions in mosques, amid widespread participation by applicants. This step reflects the ministry’s commitment to attracting qualified national talents and strengthening the presence of Kuwaiti nationals in religious work within mosques.
Kuwaiti nationals applying for the positions of imam and preacher took the written exam on Tuesday, while those applying for the position of muezzin took it on Wednesday, in accordance with the procedures and regulations established by the ministry to ensure an organized and fair process for all applicants.
Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohammed Al-Osaimi emphasized the ministry’s dedication to recruiting qualified Kuwaiti nationals for religious roles in mosques. He stated that “the ministry has sought to facilitate the written examination for Kuwaiti nationals applying for religious positions in mosques, and to provide transparency regarding the organization of the exam and the procedures followed.”
Al-Osaimi added that “approximately 950 nationals took the exam, with 450 applicants for the position of imam and 500 for the position of muezzin.” He noted that “these examinations are part of the ministry’s efforts to attract qualified national talents and select them based on established controls and standards, thereby contributing to enhancing the quality of religious work and services provided in mosques.”
