Fawaz Al-Bursali, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Republic of Austria and its Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna, presented his credentials to the Federal President of the Republic of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen, during a formal ceremony held on Wednesday at the Hofburg Presidential Palace in Vienna.

In a statement, the Kuwaiti Embassy in Austria noted that the credentialing ceremony featured praise for the distinguished level reached by the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, which span more than five decades, alongside reaffirming the importance of continuing efforts to develop and strengthen these relations across various fields.

The statement added that both sides emphasized their commitment to elevating the level of bilateral cooperation, reflecting the depth of the historical ties between the two countries and opening broader horizons for coordination and collaboration in the coming period.

The statement clarified that Ambassador Al-Bursali expressed Kuwait’s deep pride in the distinguished historical relations linking it with Austria, highlighting both countries’ commitment to further strengthening their bilateral ties and expanding the frameworks of joint cooperation in various fields in the near future.

He explained that this would be achieved through facilitating official and people-to-people visits, continuing consultations and coordination, and exchanging views and perspectives on various issues and topics of mutual interest, thereby contributing to supporting bilateral relations and enhancing shared interests between the two countries.

The presentation of Al-Bursali’s credentials as Kuwait’s Ambassador to Austria is part of his diplomatic duties, alongside representing Kuwait before a number of international organizations in Vienna.

In recent weeks, Al-Bursali had also presented his credentials to the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Executive Secretary of the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), and the Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), as part of assuming his duties representing Kuwait before international organizations in Vienna.
