Arsenal extends Arteta's contract until 2030

Arsenal announced on Wednesday that it has extended the contract of its manager, Mikel Arteta, until June 2030, as a reward for leading the team to win the English Premier League title for the first time in 22 years last season.
Since taking charge of the team in 2019, Arteta has overseen a remarkable resurgence that has returned Arsenal to the ranks of Europe’s elite, ending the club’s six-year absence from the UEFA Champions League.
The former midfielder also led Arsenal to victory in the English FA Cup in his first season at the helm of the coaching staff.
The Spanish manager said in a statement: “It is a great honor to continue my journey with this club and to work alongside exceptional people who share the same ambition to always strive for the best for Arsenal.”
