Abdulaziz Al-Marzouq: Kuwaiti industry is a source of pride, and product quality enhances competitiveness

Kuwait’s Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment and Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry, Abdulaziz Al-Marzouq, affirmed in Manama on Tuesday that Kuwaiti industry is a source of pride and honor for the State of Kuwait, owing to its quality, diversity, and competitiveness in Gulf and regional markets.
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the sidelines of his visit to the exhibition accompanying the “Made in the Gulf” forum hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain, Minister Al-Marzouq said that participation in such exhibitions helps highlight Kuwaiti products, showcase their quality and diversity, and strengthen their presence in various markets.
He praised the Kingdom of Bahrain for the excellent organization of the forum and its accompanying exhibition, expressing his appreciation for the efforts made to showcase Gulf products and industries and to enhance communication among the various industrial sectors in the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The State of Kuwait, represented by the Public Authority for Industry, participated in the “Made in the Gulf” forum and exhibition hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain under the patronage of Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the participation of several ministers, officials, and representatives of government bodies and the industrial sector from GCC member states.
In a statement, the Public Authority for Industry said that Kuwait’s participation in the forum, which opened on Tuesday and will conclude on Thursday, underscores Kuwait’s commitment to supporting the process of Gulf industrial integration, enhancing cooperation, and exchanging expertise and experiences among GCC states, as well as showcasing investment opportunities and national industrial capacities to boost the competitiveness of Gulf industry and support domestic products.
The Public Authority for Industry is participating in the accompanying exhibition through the Kuwaiti pavilion, featuring 14 Kuwaiti manufacturers representing a range of diverse industrial sectors and activities. The pavilion displays a selection of national products and Kuwaiti industries, highlighting the quality, diversity, and competitiveness of Kuwaiti industrial products in Gulf and regional markets.
The exhibition saw official attendance, with Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, representing the Bahraini King, touring the exhibition pavilions to review the national products and industries offered by participating countries.
The Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment and Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry also toured the Kuwaiti pavilion, accompanied by the Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Industry and Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Jasem Al-Naqim. They inspected the participation of Kuwaiti factories and the displayed national products, and listened to explanations about the featured products and industries, noting their quality, diversity, and competitiveness in Gulf markets.
Kuwait’s participation provides an important platform for national manufacturers to promote their products, engage in direct dialogue with investors, specialists, and private sector representatives, and explore opportunities for cooperation and commercial and industrial partnerships, thereby strengthening the presence of Kuwaiti products within the “Made in the Gulf” framework.
The Public Authority for Industry emphasized that its participation in the forum and accompanying exhibition aligns with its ongoing efforts to support the national industry, empower Kuwaiti products, open new horizons for the industrial sector, and enhance cooperation and partnership opportunities between Kuwait’s industrial sector and its counterparts in GCC states, in line with Kuwait’s strategy to diversify the economy and strengthen the role of industry in achieving sustainable development and Gulf economic integration.
