Life Imprisonment for 'Bedoon' in Britain Who Attempted to Attack Israeli Embassy
AFP – A British court sentenced a stateless asylum seeker (a “Bedoon”) to life imprisonment after convicting him of attempting to storm the Israeli embassy in the UK capital last year in a knife attack.
The court sentenced the defendant, who was found to be stateless contrary to claims by some foreign media outlets that he was a Kuwaiti national, to at least 20 years in prison, after a jury convicted him in May of preparing terrorist acts and possessing two knives.
The defendant’s asylum claim in the United Kingdom was rejected after he first entered the country in August 2021 in a small boat across the English Channel, then left and returned in April 2025, also in a small boat.
