Manama, KUNA – The Kuwait Retired Officers Association held discussions with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Manama on the frameworks for joint cooperation in developing and leveraging the expertise of retired officers, and in utilizing their professional and specialized knowledge in areas related to development, investment, and knowledge transfer.
The statement clarified that the meeting’s discussions focused on the frameworks for joint cooperation, and reviewed the expertise, programs, and initiatives that UNIDO could provide, contributing to enhancing the capabilities and skills of retirees, opening new avenues to benefit from their expertise, and strengthening opportunities for collaboration and partnership between the Association and the Organization.
This initiative aligns with Article 2, Clause 4 of the Association’s statutes, which stipulates the goal of securing a decent standard of living for the Association’s members and their families by providing comprehensive health, sports, social, and economic services.
The Association also aims to raise public awareness of its objectives and efforts to foster societal consciousness and humanitarian sentiment toward its members and war veterans, while collaborating with all Arab and international bodies to develop the services provided to retirees.
