Doha and Washington... Strategic cooperation

Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and U.S. Senator Chris Murphy exchanged views in Doha on Sunday on a number of issues of mutual interest, particularly developments in the region.
In a separate meeting, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad and the Saudi Ambassador to Qatar, Prince Saad bin Mansour bin Saud bin Saud, reviewed the fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to develop and enhance them.
Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported that during the meeting in Doha, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad received a written message from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, which included an invitation from His Highness to participate in the second Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)-European Union summit, hosted by Saudi Arabia in October.
For his part, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad asked the Saudi Ambassador to convey his greetings to his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, along with best wishes for his good health and well-being, and for the people of Saudi Arabia continued prosperity and progress.
