"The Coalition" Thwarts New Houthi Attacks on Residential Sites in Southern Saudi Arabia

In a repeat of the Houthi militia’s terrorist targeting of civilian infrastructure and civilians, the Coalition for the Support of Legitimacy announced the interception and destruction of three ballistic missiles launched by the terrorist militia toward the city of Khamis Mushait in southwestern Saudi Arabia, coinciding with the injury of a resident due to falling debris in the Asir region.

In a statement on Friday evening, Coalition spokesperson Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki confirmed that three ballistic missiles launched by the Houthi group toward Khamis Mushait in southern Saudi Arabia were intercepted and destroyed. He emphasized that Coalition forces “continue to take and implement operational measures to deter the terrorist Houthi militia.”

On Thursday, Khamis Mushait saw debris from an intercepted ballistic missile, launched by the Houthis at residential areas, fall in the city, causing material damage to several buildings and vehicles.

The Saudi Civil Defense stated in a bulletin that it responded to the impact of an enemy projectile launched by the militia at a school in Najran, southwestern Saudi Arabia, which resulted in material damage, noting that standard procedures for such incidents were implemented.

Additionally, the Saudi Civil Defense in Al-Baha Governorate, Asir region, southern Saudi Arabia, responded to the fall of debris from a ballistic missile after it was intercepted and destroyed. The missile was launched by the terrorist group and resulted in the injury of an Asian national resident, as well as damage to a prayer room inside a building and several vehicles. The Civil Defense confirmed that standard procedures for such cases were carried out.

Earlier, on Thursday evening, the terrorist militia targeted the Taiba electricity distribution station in Medina with a drone.

In remarks, he stated that more than six countries wish to join the Mecca Agreement for Joint Defense, without disclosing the names of the countries seeking to join the pact.

The committee is holding its second meeting in Riyadh, following its first meeting in Ankara, where the signatory countries reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing their defensive capabilities and strengthening their armed forces through “robust cooperation in the field of defense industries and the development of joint production and technologies.”
