The Murtaba long-term testing well (MLTTF), operated by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), produced more than 1.5 million barrels of oil and 2 billion cubic feet of gas during its first year of operation. Peak production rates reached approximately 7,800 barrels per day and 8 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, according to KOC data.
The company stated on its website that Talal Al-Adwani, Director of the New Projects Group, accompanied by team leaders, engineers, and technical leadership from the group, along with representatives from the Sixth Drilling and Well Services Team, visited the facility to review its operational performance and recognize the efforts of the workforce.
The visit came one year after the start of operations, in recognition of the collective efforts in developing remote and complex fields.
