In a move reflecting its ongoing commitment to providing a seamless, comfortable, and secure customer experience and to developing digital banking solutions, National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) continues to enhance its services by introducing a new set of updates to its “NBK Mobile” app, which contribute to making daily transactions faster, simpler, and easier.
The recent improvements cover several key aspects, including the first fully integrated digital experience for obtaining credit cards in an easy and fast manner, at any time and from anywhere, without the need to visit a branch. The service allows customers to apply for credit cards and complete all application procedures and track their status through the app, starting from filling out the application form and uploading required documents, proceeding through credit checks and viewing eligible card options, and culminating in application review and electronic signature, all without the need to visit branches or submit any paper documents.
By digitizing all stages of application and issuance, NBK offers one of the fastest credit card acquisition experiences in Kuwait, simplifying procedures and accelerating application review and approval processes, thereby providing customers with a smoother and more flexible experience.
The launch of this service aligns with the bank’s continuous efforts to develop its digital capabilities and innovate advanced banking solutions that prioritize customer needs, keeping pace with their aspirations for a faster, more flexible, and easier banking experience.
The latest update also includes a package of new and enhanced services and features, reflecting the bank’s dedication to delivering a comprehensive digital banking experience that meets customer needs and provides greater ease, speed, and flexibility in completing transactions.
NBK has launched the “Transfer to Multiple Beneficiaries” feature, allowing customers to select beneficiaries, enter the required amounts, review transaction details, authenticate, and complete the transfer within a single process. This feature enables customers to select up to 10 beneficiaries at once, offering greater flexibility by reducing the number of steps required to execute multiple financial transfers.
Commenting on this, Mohammed Al-Duwaikh, Vice President of Digital Banking Channels, said: “As part of the new enhancements, the bank has expanded the options available for requesting certificates and digital statements through the ‘NBK Mobile’ app. Customers can now electronically request a wider range of official certificates and statements without visiting a branch, including those with QR codes and authorized signatures.”
Al-Duwaikh added: “This service incorporates the highest level of security measures in line with international standards, giving customers greater confidence when obtaining official documents. Furthermore, a copy of the requested document is sent to the customer’s registered email address, facilitating the retention of an electronic copy for future use.”
Al-Duwaikh emphasized that these improvements are an integral part of NBK’s vision to continuously develop its digital services in accordance with customer needs and expectations.
He concluded: “By combining convenience, flexibility, security, and easy access to services, the bank reaffirms its steadfast commitment to simplifying customers’ daily banking transactions and empowering them to manage their finances more effectively.”
In line with its ongoing commitment to investing in its digital infrastructure and innovative banking solutions, Al-Watani continues to strengthen its leadership in digital transformation by offering its customers a digital banking experience capable of meeting their evolving expectations, in accordance with the highest standards of service, security, and reliability.
