Bessent: We Isolate Iran... It Will Have No Oil to Load via Sea for the First Time

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that “the United States is isolating Iran in an unprecedented manner.”

He added, speaking to Axios, “For the first time since Iran began exporting oil, it will have no oil moving by sea this week.”

He continued: “We have facilitated the passage of 1.1 billion barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz, while Iran has been unable to move a single barrel.”
