Dr. Hamad Al Shamsi, the UAE Attorney General, announced that investigations into the incident involving Flydubai flight FZ1073 revealed that the first officer began carrying out a terrorist act.
According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the first officer executed his plan during the flight, attacking the captain inside the cockpit with a crash axe and attempting to take control of the aircraft’s controls.
The Attorney General confirmed that investigations are still ongoing to uncover all circumstances, motives, and connections related to the incident, as well as to complete technical examinations and the analysis of physical and digital evidence.
