Seoul: North Korea Launched Projectile Towards Sea Off Eastern Coast

The launch comes after Kim Yo-jong, the powerful sister of leader Kim Jong Un, issued a statement on Friday rejecting Seoul’s demand for an apology over North Korean landmines that seriously injured South Korean soldiers in the Demilitarized Zone, a heavily fortified area between the two Koreas.
South Korea said this week that North Korean landmines caused an explosion that seriously injured two South Korean soldiers during a reconnaissance mission along the four-kilometer-wide border running across the Korean Peninsula.
